We are soliciting quotes for aggregate suppliers, HMA suppliers, demolition contractors, grading contractors, paving contractors, striping contractors, surveyors, street sweeping, and trucking.
This scope of the project consists of the following:
Grind all existing asphalt to a depth of 3’’ on hard court and haul off debris.
Re Compact Approx (54,000) sq ft.
Add aggregate base rock to provide proper drainage.
Possible drain height adjustments for proper drainage.
Place 3’’ thick of ½’’ state spec hot mix and compact to maximum density Approx (54,000) sq ft.
Seal and stripe in two applications of waterborne traffic marking paint 30 days after install.
Striping to reflect like for like with slight changes to hardcourt (location of activity lines hopscotch etc.)
Install petromat if after 3'' off haul there is still a layer of asphalt.
Quotations will be broken down into comparable packages as reasonably necessary. Every Subcontractor is required to be registered with the State DIR to perform public work. Subcontractors must be prepared to furnish payment and performance bonds issued by a California admitted surety that is acceptable to Martin General Engineering (MGE). MGE will reimburse the Subcontractor for the premium costs of the bonds at standard premium rates not to exceed 1.5%. The Subcontractor must possess current general commercial liability insurance and workers compensation insurance per Owner’s requirements. MGE’s listing of a subcontractor in its bid to the public agency is not to be construed as an acceptance of all the Subcontractor’s conditions or exceptions included with Subcontractor’s price quotes.
MGE is signatory to the following unions: Operating Engineers, Laborers, and Cement Masons.
