Project Details

We are soliciting quotes for aggregate suppliers, ready mix concrete suppliers, fencing suppliers, demolition contractors, underground utilities contractors, concrete contractors, fencing subcontractors, surveyors, street sweeping, and trucking.


This scope of the project consists of the following:

Contractors to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to install all fencing on this project.
New installation Approx. 50' Linear Feet of 7ft high black ornamental fence Ameristar Iron Montage 11 -2R classic fence. (Equal to or better).
(2) single swing man gates to be installed. 4' x 7' gates with closures with panic hardware (Von Duprin Exit Device CD9847NL-US26D-3'-697-SNB). Add expanded metal on and around gate to prevent entry from the outside.
New installation Approx. 350 Linear Feet of 7' High Galvanized fence with 1 "x9 gauge fabric. (2) single swing man gates to be installed 4' x 7' gates with closures and panic hardware. (3) double swing gate to be installed (16', 10',8') x 7'. Provide 12" mow strip for all galvanized fencing,
Demo of approx. 100 Linear feet of existing fence and poles. Demo approx. 100 linear feet of fabric and dispose of. Sleeve existing poles and install approximately 100 Linear feet of 7' High Galvanized fence with 1 "x9 gauge fabric. Provide 12" mow strip for all galvanized fencing. Contractor to haul away demoed materials.
Demo and haul off approximately 75 square feet of concrete a round existing drain.
Raise drain to create clear path of travel. Pour back and finish concrete.
Re-route and underground waterline between portables and patch back.
All measurements to be verified by the contractor prior to installation.
The contractor is responsible for having the area USA prior to installation.
Contractor to locate/GPR prior to removal of existing fence.
All man gates to be no smaller than 4 feet opening for ADA.
Terminal Posts to be 2 7/8"or bigger.
Line posts to be 2 3/8" or bigger.
Top Rail 1 5/8"
7 ga bottom wire
Gate hinges shall be bulldog hinges so they can swing in both directions.
AU posts to be a minimum of 36" deep.
Installers are responsible for keeping site secure with fence panels {If necessary)
Construction Schedule based on 40-hour week.
All Fencing and concrete work to be completed before July 25, 2025.
Clean area and complete final inspection.
Provide Manufacturer's warranty and 1 year labor warranty

Quotations will be broken down into comparable packages as reasonably necessary. Every Subcontractor is required to be registered with the State DIR to perform public work. Subcontractors must be prepared to furnish payment and performance bonds issued by a California admitted surety that is acceptable to Martin General Engineering (MGE). MGE will reimburse the Subcontractor for the premium costs of the bonds at standard premium rates not to exceed 1.5%. The Subcontractor must possess current general commercial liability insurance and workers compensation insurance per Owner’s requirements. MGE’s listing of a subcontractor in its bid to the public agency is not to be construed as an acceptance of all the Subcontractor’s conditions or exceptions included with Subcontractor’s price quotes.

MGE is signatory to the following unions: Operating Engineers, Laborers, and Cement Masons.
