Allen Gill Construction Inc. (AGC) is soliciting proposals and quotes from all MBE, WBE and DBE contractors for the Water Supply and Storage Improvements Project. Bids will be received by the City of Yreka 701 Fourth Street, Yreka, California 96097 until 2:00 p.m. local time on May 09, 2025, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. The project is located in the City of Yreka and consists of constructing a new 1,000,000-gallon welded steel tank, a new 250,000-gallon welded steel tank, booster pump station modifications, one well and well building, and one pressure-reducing valve station; installing 410 feet of 12-inch water main, 2,900 feet of 8-inch water main, and two fire hydrants; and existing tank demolition.
Allen Gill Construction Inc. is requesting quotes from MBE’s, WBE’s and DBE's for all disciplines of work including concrete construction, engineered unit masonry, rough carpentry, blanket insulation, metal roofing, painting, welded steel water storage tank painting, HVAC, integrated automation, electrical, communications, earthwork, welded steel tank reservoir construction, pavement markings, asphalt paving, concrete paving, chain link fence, precast concrete fences, and hydroseeding.

Copies of the plans, specifications, and Contract Documents may also be examined at the City of Yreka 701 Fourth Street Yreka, CA 96097 and at PACE Engineering, Inc. 5155 Venture Parkway Redding, CA 96002. In addition, they are available on the Shasta, Valley, and Klamath Builders Exchange, and can be viewed at the office of Allen Gill Construction Inc. Bonds may be required for any subcontract over $ 25,000. Insurance, including worker’s compensation will be required with $1,000,000 in coverage limits. All subcontractors must be registered with the DIR (Department of Industrial Relations) in order to perform work on this project. Call for more information. (530 )547-1112. We will work with interested DBEs to create custom scopes of work/supply to meet their particular needs. We will encourage a consortium of DBEs when any particular item(s) of interest are too large for one DBE firm to handle individually. We will work with interested DBEs to divide total requirements into economically feasible, smaller tasks or quantities to permit maximum DBE participation.
