PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Project includes a 5-mile-long tunnel, extending from the terminus south of the recently opened Berryessa/North San José Station, through downtown San José along Santa Clara St., to the planned Newhall Maintenance Facility in the City of Santa Clara.

KSTJV seeks Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) businesses for various scopes to support Tunnel Construction. Scopes are planned to include the following, which may be adjusted:
Landscaping/trash removal and disposal, clear and grub, fence repair and painting over graffiti at the following properties: Greene (East Portal); Monarch/SCS (28th St), Goodlife (13th St), Goldrock (3rd St), Chase/Gross Holmes (between Market & 1st)
Non-DBE firms are encouraged to contract with a group of lower-tier DBE/SBEs or individual DBE/SBEs.
Plans are available through BuildingConnected (BC). If your company is interested in bidding any of the scopes listed above, please visit www.KSTJV.com and fill out the Sub/Supplier List at the bottom of the page. From there, KSTJV will align the company capabilities to the bid packages. If there is a match, your company will be invited into the bid dashboard of the relevant bid package.
Subcontractors must possess & provide valid current California Contractor’s License and DIR Registration numbers.
Compliance to federal requirement includes, but is not limited to:
● Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) requirements
● American Iron and Steel (AIS) requirements
● Build America Buy America (BABA) requirements
● Davis-Bacon Act and California Prevailing Wage requirements
● Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (40 CFR Part 33) requirements
All successful bidders must comply with the Project Labor Agreement and provide proof of applicable insurance and bonding capability. Further information will be provided in the bidding documents.
