Jett Industries, Inc. (Jett - Contractor) is assembling a bid for Contract PR-151-AIR Reconstruction of Air Distribution System for Aeration Tanks at Port Richmond WRRF with The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP - Owner) and extends this request for Quotes (RFQ) to all firms (Bidder) to provide labor, materials, and/or equipment for the Project as described in these bid packages.
Access to Bid Documents
Project documents and Scope details will be posted to the Files tab of Building Connected.
Issuance of Addenda by Owner
Jett will upload to the FILES tab on Building Connected all addenda as received by the Owner. A notification through Building Connected will be sent to Bidders. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of addenda in writing on the Bid Proposal form or their quote.
Requests for Clarification
Any Bidder, no later than the date posted on the Project Information Page, may submit questions for interpretation or clarification of, or addenda to, this Bid. All requests must be submitted in writing and sent by email or as a message through Building Connected.
DBE Goal:
Please note that while the Agency is not requiring some of the subcontracting work to be performed by New York City certified Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprises, it is expected that reasonable attempts will be made to include these enterprises.
The Project includes the following Work:
General scope of work:
Replace existing air piping and aeration equipment within the aeration tanks. The scope also includes furnishing and installing new air header piping, pipe supports, structural joints repair, coarse-bubble diffusers, and fine-bubble diffusers within Passes A, B, C, and D of each of the four (4) Aeration Tanks.

Scopes of Work Needed:
a. Structural Work:
1) Remove and reinstall precast slabs for Y-wall and influent channel access.
2) Remove concrete pipe easements in existing Y-wall piping.
3) Influent channel waterproofing.
b. Process Mechanical Work:
1) Demolish spray water piping known to contain lead.
2) Install 24" cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, as dictated in the Contract Drawings.
3) Demolish existing aeration system piping in aeration tanks and corresponding influent and effluent channels, including piping, valves, droplegs, diffuser grids, expansion joints, and all supports.
4) Install new aeration system piping in aeration tanks and corresponding influent and effluent channels, including piping, valves, droplegs, diffuser grids, expansion joints, and all supports. Also install new epoxy coating in East Channel.
5) Install and remove bypass pumping system described in Bid Items.
c. Hazardous Materials Work: Remove hazardous materials from spray water piping known to contain lead.
d. Civil Work: none
e. Electrical Work: none
f. Other Work: See Contract Drawings.

The Bidder will be required to quote in compliance with all project plans and specifications. Non-Disclosure Agreements are provided when applicable. Addenda is posted and notification is sent to all invited bidders.
Insurance Requirements
Upon award, Subcontractors must provide insurance in accordance with our subcontract agreement. A copy of the subcontractor agreement can be found in Building Connected Project Plan Room.
Bonding Requirements
For subcontracts the Bidder shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds equal to the full subcontract price. For Material Contracts, the bidder shall furnish Supply Bonds in amount equal to full Material Contract price. Bond premiums are reimbursable by Kiewit/Mass. Electric Construction Co. Jett Industries Inc.
Please provide current bond rate with Quote/Proposal or advise if you are unable to bond so that we my address this issue.
