Project Description:
Construction of a long term temp. trestle and the required approach roads from the western shore of Newark Bay for the construction of the new Newark Bay Bridge. Approach roads to consist of 90' deep Augered Cast In Place Piles, 18 In Diameter with a geosynthetic reinforced load transfer platform (GLRTP) consisting of multiple layers of Uniaxial Geogrid and course aggregate layers along with left in place temp Sheeting. The trestle shall be a combination of driven 42" dia pipe piles support columns along with W36 cap neams with W36 stringer beams. The structur shall be capped with 1 layer of 12" x 12" treated timbermats and steel plate working surface along with safety rails and 6x6 timber toe board protections. Upgrades to drainage and roadway along Ware House Place at site entrance.
