REQUESTING BIDS FROM ALL DBE SUBCONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE WATER AND WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH'S DRINKING WATER STATE REVOLVING FUND
Walsh Construction is bidding, as a prime contractor, the Bitter Lake Reservoir Improvements Project, PW#2024-044, for The City of Seattle, Seattle Public Utilities. The project consists of the construction of constructing a new partially buried 21-million-gallon concrete prestressed water reservoir to replace the existing concrete lined earthen dam water reservoir which has a floating cover. Types of work include civil, landscaping, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls, process and controls, erosion control and tree protection, and traffic control.
Walsh is seeking bids from firms for the following services and/or materials; we are willing to discuss breaking out any portion of the work into economically feasible units to facilitate DBE participation: DEMOLITION, POTHOLING, MASS EXCAVATION, GRADING, SUBGRADE PREP, UNDERDRAINS, FOUNDATION DRAINS, RESERVOIR PVC MEMBRANE, GEOTEXTILE PROTECTION, TEMPORARY SITE STORMWATER MANAGEMENT, CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE, REBAR, PRESTRESSING OF RESERVOIR WALLS, MISC METALS, HATCHES, DAVIT CRANES, PIPING, MIXER SYSTEMS PRECAST CONCRETE, FLOW METER, VALVES, PIPING, BIORETENTION FACILITIES, UNDERGROUND INJECTION CONTROL WELLS (UIC), FENCING, SITE GATES, ASPHALT, ACCESS ROAD, ELECTRICAL/I&C, CONCRETE FLATWORK, SIDEWALKS, PAINTING/COATINGS, SIGNS, FALL PROTECTION, SUBMERSIBLE MIXER, FIBER OPTIC, AGGREGATES, TRUCKING, DEWATERING, SHORING, PAVEMENT MARKINGS, SECURITY FENCING SYSTEMS, UNDERGROUND PIPING, BIORETENTION PONDS, VALVES, FLOW METERS, INSTRUMENTS, WATER QUALITY ANYLYZERS, LANDSCAPING/PLANTING

Quotes must be valid for the same time frame specified by the owner for the contract award. Conditions or exceptions in subcontractor's quotes are expressly rejected unless accepted in writing. Subcontractor scope including any conditions or exceptions is required 24 hours prior to bid deadline to allow proper evaluation. To assist DBEs/SBEs/MBEs/WBEs/VOBs, we will divide the total requirements into smaller tasks or quantities and establish a delivery and construction schedule which will permit maximum participation when feasible. DWSRF/SRF forms are required prior to bid day.
