The work to be performed includes furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, and labor necessary for the construction of approximately 7,996 linear feet of 12 to 24" gravity sewer line. The gravity main will cross Onion Creek by way of banked retaining wall to convey the new line. Lastly, protection and removal of select trees along the new gravity line alignment will be required.
This project will be funded through the Texas Water Development Board's (TWDB) Clean Water (CWSRF) State Revolving Fund.
The City of Dripping Springs will expand the wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal facilities to keep up with the population growth occuring within the greater Dripping Springs area. The City wll pursue Beneficial Reuse Authorization for its new permit through 30 TAC Chapter 210, for much of its reclaimed water which would allow the City to reuse reclaimed water for irrigation of city-owned park lands and athletic fields, and irrigation of some privately owned ares such as parks, golf courses, greenbelts, pasture lands, residential lawns, etc. in lieu of potable drink water.
