Stalco is submitting a bid to the Town of Huntington for the Dix Hills Water District - Wellhead Treatment for 1,4-Dioxane & Perchlorate at Plant No. 8 project and are seeking qualified NYS certified MBE, WBE, & SDVOB subcontractors to provide quotes.

This project has an Apprenticeship requirement. M/WBE Goal: 30%; SDVOB Goal: 6%

The work includes, but is not limited to, the following:
1. Tree removal, site clearing, grubbing, sheeting, bracing, excavation, soil erosion
protection, slope protection, earth movement, subgrade preparation, removal of excess and/or unsuitable excavated material, dewatering, and import of suitable material, as necessary to install and construct all the work defined within the Contract Documents.
2. Furnish and supply temporary sanitary facilities for all contracts.
3. Construction of cast-in-place concrete slabs.
4. Demolition and removals as shown.
5. Office trailers.
6. Fencing.
7. Miscellaneous metals including railing, grating, and supports.
8. Extend existing well concrete base.
9. Yard piping, buried valves, and fittings.
10. Startup participation for the various equipment and systems of the project and provide
complete service to troubleshoot and assist manufacturer service representatives in
obtaining a completely functional installation.
11. Preliminary site work including: utility mark-out, erection of safety fencing, erosion control
facilities, clearing and grubbing.
12. New site drainage structures and piping.
13. Excavation, removal of excess and/or unsuitable excavated material, sheeting
reinforcement, import of suitable material, soil compaction and testing.
14. Construction of building, including: all walls, floors, concrete reinforcement, penetrations,
structural steel, masonry, trusses, framing, roofing, windows, doors, louvers, grating,
stairs, siding, finishes, etc.
15. Surface preparation and coating of structural steel, walls, and other items as noted.
16. New penetration sleeves, placement to be coordinated with all contracts.
17. Install epoxy floor coating system.
18. New electric unit heaters, exhaust fans, supports, louvers and associated equipment,
grilles, registers, duct work, supports and accessories, and testing and balancing of
systems
19. Site restoration including final grading and placement of topsoil and seeding.
20. Asphalt removal.
21. New asphalt paving.
22. New sidewalks and concrete curbing
