We are a general and excavation contractor in the Truckee/Lake Tahoe area. We are currently bidding on a project within or near the town of Calpine, California in Sierra County. The project is funded in whole or part with federal loan or grant funds through the California Safe Drinking Water State Revolving Fund, and, therefore federal Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) regulations apply to this project. (Reference 40 Code of Federal Regulations Part 33 - Participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Programs).

The purpose of this email is to provide a "Good Faith Effort" in the selection of any and all contractors, subcontractors, and vendors for the procurement of equipment, supplies, construction, and services related to the project, at a minimum, undertake the affirmative.

The project information is as follows:

• SCOPE OF WORK: The work to be performed includes but is not limited to provision of all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary to provide the drilling and construction of an approximately 570-foot well; the installation of a well pump; the construction of a new well building with chemical feed, controls and telemetry and site work at well location site; the installation of approximately 1650-feet of 4-inch diameter C900 transmission pipeline from the new well building to a new water treatment building; the construction of a new water treatment building with filtration, controls, backwash system and site work; the construction and installation of a new 16,000-gallon bolted steel backwash tank with associated appurtenances, tank site grading, tank foundation, and associated tank piping; and the installation of a sludge drying bed adjacent to the new tank and all other work as called for in the Contract Documents. This work shall include site work, yard piping, valves and valve vaults, construction of two buildings, bolted steel backwash tank including tank site grading, foundations, and pipeline, painting and coating of project elements, and related work. Work to be performed includes furnishing all labor, material, tools, equipment, and incidentals required to construct all of the water system facilities as detailed in the Contract Drawings and to install all facilities, equipment, pipe, fittings, and appurtenances as shown on the Plans and as described in these Technical Specifications.
