Jett Industries, Inc. (Jett - Contractor) is assembling a bid for the OB-135 Headworks Improvements at Oakwood Beach WRRF
with NYCDEP (Owner) and extends this request for Quotes (RFQ) to all firms (Bidders) to provide labor, materials, and /or equipment for the Project as described in these packages.

Principal Items of Work are listed below, but should not be construed as being a complete description of the scope of Work to be performed under this Contract:
a. Install four (4) temporary main sewage pump standby capacity pumping system including bypass pumps, temporary power, temporary bypass pumping controls, piping, pump and piping removal, supports, and hangers.
b. Demolish existing bar screen channel influent gates and install six (6) bar screen channel influent slide gates, frames, actuators, and
mounting hardware.
c. Demolish existing mechanically cleaned bar screens and furnish and install six (6) multi-rake bar screens including, mounting hardware,
instrumentation, controls, and captured screenings storage containers.
d. Repair and modify bar screen channel concrete as indicated on Contract Drawings.
e. Demolish existing main sewage pumps and associated piping, resistor bank speed controls, electrical, instrumentation, and controls equipment and install six (6) submersible main sewage pumps including pump supports, discharge piping, vent piping, anti-rotation
suction reducer fittings, suction knife gates, magnetic flow meters, variable frequency drives, and associated electrical and controls systems.
f. Furnish and install one (1) emergency dry pit dewatering pumps and controls.
g. Demolition portions of the existing HVAC systems and equipment as shown on the Contract Drawings. Provide new intake and exhaust
fans, unit heaters, hot water piping, ductwork, electrical and control wiring as shown on the Contract Drawings.
h. Demolish existing electrical and instrumentation, power panels, conduit and receptacles shown on Contract Drawings. Furnish and install new electrical and control systems as shown on Contract Drawings.
i. Install new scum concentrator area walkway platform and stairs.
j. Re-paint screen and pump rooms.
k. Remove and dispose of all hazardous materials including but not limited to Asbestos-Containing Material, lead-containing material, mercury and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).

DBE requirements:
This project has a 20 % DBE participation goal. Jett Industries, Inc. / encourages DBE Business Enterprise firms to quote our projects, as well as subcontractors and materials supplier who contract with our firm and utilize DBE subcontractors and vendors for work to be performed.

The Bidder will be required to quote in compliance with all project plans and specifications. Non-Disclosure Agreements are provided when applicable. Addenda is posted and notification is sent to all invited bidders.

Insurance Requirements
Upon award, Subcontractors must provide insurance in accordance with our subcontract agreement. A copy of the subcontractor agreement can be found in Building Connected Project Plan Room.

Bonding Requirements
For subcontracts the Bidder shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds equal to the full subcontract price. For Material Contracts, the bidder shall furnish Supply Bonds in amount equal to full Material Contract price. Bond premiums are reimbursable by Kiewit/Mass. Electric Construction Co. Jett Industries Inc.
Please provide current bond rate with Quote/Proposal or advise if you are unable to bond so that we my address this issue.
