Scope of Work: Major components of Project Work consist of replacing roofing systems on five
existing buildings at the Veterans Home of California, Yountville. For the single-story, Armistice Chapel,
with an approximate 2,100sf of roof area, the work includes removing the existing wood shakes roof
system and installing new fire-retardant treated wood shakes, underlayment, new copper flashing,
gutters, and downspouts to preserve historic architectural features. For the similarly built 2-story Lincoln Hall, Washington Hall, Wilson Hall, with approximate 24,000sf to 25,000sf of roof area each, the work involves removing, cleaning, and installing reusable existing clay tiles along with new clay tiles, new underlayment, new flashings, and new matching gutter systems, to preserve historical authenticity. A portion of the roof Wilson Hall is known to contain hazardous materials requiring abatement as part of the work. For the 3-story Lincoln Theatre, with an approximate 30,000sf of roof area, the work includes the removal of the existing roof system and the installation of new Class A single-ply membrane, tapered insulation, roof drain dome, fixed ladders, roof hatch with safety railing, fall protection, and new rooftop mounted HVAC duct installation.

There is a 3% mandatory DVBE Participation requirement.
