The Hudson Tunnel Project - Package 2A (P2A) consists of heavy civil construction to extend the future Hudson River Tunnel alignment through Manhattan. Work will take place along 10th Avenue at street level and within Amtrak's existing A-Yard facility at track level, requiring extensive coordination with active railroad operations, existing infrastructure, utilities, and adjacent structures. Major work includes construction of a cut-and-cover tunnel beneath 10th Avenue connecting Hudson Yards Concrete Casing Section 1 (HYCC-1) to the A-Yard tunnel alignment; modifications and underpinning of the existing 450 West 33rd Street overbuild structure; relocation of structural columns and the PS-5 structure; and construction of the A-Yard Fan Plant structural framing. Subcontractors shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, engineering support, temporary works, and protection measures necessary to complete their respective scopes in accordance with the contract documents, specifications, safety requirements, and project schedule. All work must maintain safe operations, minimize impacts to existing facilities, and comply with applicable authority requirements, with close coordination among the Owner, Engineer, railroad operations, and other project stakeholders.
