The City of Peoria does not have its own minority and women business (M/WBE) certification program, but it does maintain a list of certified M/WBEs. Instead, the city recognizes firms certified as disadvantaged business enterprises by the Illinois Department of Transportation or another agency participating in the state's Unified Certification Program. Contractors working with the City of Peoria use the M/WBE list to find subcontractors on city-funded construction projects.

Does this local/state program offer reciprocal certifications with other local/state programs? While there is no certification from the City of Peoria per se, state-level agency certifications in Illinois are recognized.
