Project Details

Principal items of Work are:
a. Install temporary pump around pumping system to allow construction staging.
b. Remove and replace six (6) main sewage pumps (MSPs), MSP motors, MSP controls, and ancillary components including but not limited to discharge piping, flow meters, and pressure gauges.
c. Remove and replace MSP suction isolation valves and actuators.
d. Remove two 72-inch diameter sluice gates at the influent end of the main sewage pump suction headers and replace with 84-inch diameter slide gates.
e. Re-line two (2) 72-inch diameter suction header pipes with carbon fiber lining material.
f. Remove and replace two (2) seal water systems, each of which include a seal water tank, two (2) pumps, and controls.
g. Install instrumentation associated with the MSPs and seal water system.
h. Install a new drywell flood recovery pumping system.
i. Demolish the ring flushing system.
j. Replace blower cooling water system piping from effluent water pumps to blower cooling water supply tank.
k. Construct five (5) new pressurized vestibules and pressurize one (1) existing stairwell.
l. Install heating, ventilation, heat recovery, and air conditioning fans and associated ductwork.
m. Enclose intermediate level of pump room to construct a new conditioned space to locate MSP variable frequency drive equipment.

Labor Type: Union, Prevailing Wage, Davis Bacon, PLA
Diversity Requirement: 20% DBE

The Bidder will be required to quote in compliance with all project plans and specifications. Non-Disclosure Agreements are provided when applicable. Addenda is posted and notification is sent to all invited bidders.

Insurance Requirements
Upon award, Subcontractors must provide insurance in accordance with our subcontract agreement. A copy of the subcontractor agreement can be found in Building Connected Project Plan Room.

Bonding Requirements
For subcontracts the Bidder shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds equal to the full subcontract price. For Material Contracts, the bidder shall furnish Supply Bonds in amount equal to full Material Contract price. Bond premiums are reimbursable by Kiewit/Mass. Electric Construction Co. /Jett Industries
Please provide current bond rate with Quote/Proposal or advise if you are unable to bond so that we my address this issue.
