Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to Drainage Systems Supplier, Traffic Control Supplier, Construction Area Signs, Traffic Control System, Traffic Flagger, Reset, Relocate, Adjust, Modify Roadway Items, Plane Asphalt Concrete, Clearing & Grubbing, Hydroseeding, Erosion Control, Temporary Erosion Control, Aggregate Base (AB), Pavement Reinforcing Fabric, Minor Concrete Structure, Roadside Sign, Reinforced Concrete Pipe "Misc Iron & Steel Frame, Cover & Grate", Saw Cutting, Temporary Fencing, Thermoplastic Traffic Striping & Marking, Pavement Marker, Lead Compliance, SWPPP Planning, Street Sweeping Truck, Trucker Broker, Trucker, Construction Equipment Rental.


The DBE Contract goal is 20% percent. Federal-aid project no.: ACHSST-S001(659). Please let us know which bid items will be covered in your proposal and if you can help us meet the DBE Goal 20%. The estimated cost of the project is $1,860,000.00. Plans and specifications are available at Caltrans http://ppmoe.dot.ca.gov/des/oe/weekly-ads/oe-project.php?q=01-0G6004. Requirements:
No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work with the Dept of Industrial Relations https://efiling.dir.ca.gov/PWCR/Search.action

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. The US Small Business Administration may also assist you in obtaining bonding " please see the following site for information: http://www.sba.gov/content/contractors#

Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator. Please call if you need assistance in obtaining bonding, insurance, equipment, materials and/or supplies. Granite intends to work cooperatively with all qualified firms seeking work on this project.
