Project Details

Proposals are invited for Contract No. T100.581, which involves the replacement of Piers 15 and 18, painting of existing steelwork at joint areas, and joint replacements from approximately Milepost W115.25 to W115.45 in the Borough of Carlstadt and Ridgefield, Bergen County, New Jersey and repairs to Pier E17 at Structure No. N2.01 in the City of Bayonne, Hudson County, New Jersey.

The work to be performed under this Contract at Structure No. W115.36 involves replacement of waterway Piers 15 and 18 in their entirety with the exception of existing pile foundations to remain, including temporary trestles, temporary cofferdams, temporary foundations and support towers, structural jacking, new girder bearings, painting of existing weathering steel at joint locations, and various deck joint reconstruction and replacements. The work includes U.S. Coast Guard and utility company coordination, and all other work required in the successful prosecution of the Project.

The work to be performed under this Contract involves Structure No. N2.01 Pier E17 repairs including pier jacketing and stone masonry rehabilitation. The work shall include the necessary traffic control, U.S. Coast Guard coordination, other agency coordination, and all other work required in the successful prosecution of the Project.

PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION:
Contractors shall comply with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act (“PWCRA”), as amended in, N.J.S.A.
34:11-56.48 et seq. All Bidders shall be registered pursuant to the PWCRA at the time of Proposal submission and are requested to submit a valid certificate of registration with their Proposals. No Contractor or Subcontractor, including
lower tier Subcontractors, shall engage in the performance of any public work subject to the Contract, unless the
Contractor or Subcontractor is registered pursuant to the Act.

BUSINESS REGISTRATION ACT:
Proof of valid business registration with the State of New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Revenue and
Enterprise Services, shall be submitted by the successful Bidder prior to award of the Contract in the form of a valid
Business Registration Certificate in compliance with N.J.S.A. 52:32-44, as amended. No Contract shall be awarded
without proof of business registration with the Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services.
