Project Details

Allen Gill Construction Inc. is soliciting proposals and quotes from all Disadvantaged Business Enterprise's (DBE) for the McArthur Well No. 1 Improvements Project. Bids will be received by the Fall River Valley Community Services District 24850 3rd Street, Fall River Mills, CA, until 3:00 p.m. local time on April 11, 2024 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The project is located in McArthur, Ca. and consists of two schedules A and B. Schedule A consists of removing and replacing the well pump, motor, discharge piping, and conductor; replacing electrical panels; replacing concrete well head; and installing an exhaust fan. If additive alternates are awarded, additional emergency ventilation will be installed, roof and ceiling improvements will be implemented, an existing water line will be rerouted, and salvage material will be hauled off. Schedule B consists of purchase and installation of an emergency generator and associated electrical improvements. Allen Gill Construction Inc. is requesting quotes from DBE's for all disciplines of work including well pump installation, rough carpentry framing, concrete, metal roofing, painting, electrical, HVAC, waterworks materials, and trucking.


Prospective bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the issuing office of PACE Engineering, Inc., 5155 Venture Parkway, Redding, CA 96002, In addition, bid documents including plans and specifications are available on https://www.ciplist.com/plans/?Fall%20River%20Valley%20CSD/agency/126. Also, they are available on the Shasta, Valley, and Klamath Builders Exchange, and can be viewed at the office of Allen Gill Construction Inc. Bonds may be required for any subcontract over $ 25,000. Insurance, including worker’s compensation will be required with $1,000,000 in coverage limits. All subcontractors must be registered with the DIR ( Department of Industrial Relations ) in order to perform work on this project. Call for more information. (530) 547-1112. We will encourage a consortium of DBEs when any particular item(s) of interest are too large for one DBE firm to handle individually. We will work with interested DBEs to divide total requirements into economically feasible, smaller tasks or quantities to permit maximum DBE participation.
