Ragnar Benson LLC is seeking proposals for Caltrans Contract No. 12-0Q9804. The Project includes construction on state highway in Orange County from Oso Parkway in Rancho Santa Margarita to 0.7 mile north of Portola Parkway overcrossing in Irvine.

Work items include, but are not limited to the following: Guardrail • Impact Attenuators • Traffic Control • Construction Signs • Radar Speed Feedback Units (Portable & Fixed Signs) • Temporary Barrier System & Attenuators • Temporary Traffic Screen (Barrier Mounted) • Asphalt Paving • Asphalt Dikes & Misc Areas • Aggregate Base Material • Bridge Repairs • Pavement Markings • Erosion Controls & High Visibility Safety Fence • Permanent Concrete Barrier • Electrical Lighting, Fiber Optic Cable & Signalization • Electrical, lighting & signal materials • Lead Compliance Plan • Safety Representative • SWPPP Plan & Maintenance Reporting • Stormwater Sampling & Reporting • Street Sweeping • Water Trucks • Concrete Flatwork, Minor Concrete Brushed Concrete, Concrete Grid Units • Misc Concrete Curb & Detectable Warning Surfaces • Rock Staining • Clearing & Grubbing • Landscaping • Maintenance of Existing Planted Areas • Irrigation System Testing and Maintenance • Rock Blanket • Pre/Post Construction Survey at Handicap Ramps • Fence • Signs, Object Markers & Delineators

Please note, there are 3 Additive Pay Items described by Special Provision Page 11 and shown on Plan Sheets 14, 18, 50-59, 208-210, 235-237, 248-250 and 311-313 all of 376. We will need the costs associated with this additive work to be provided separately from the main unit price items. If you will perform the additive work at the same unit prices as the Base Contract items, please denote your proposal accordingly.

Proposals Are Due on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 by 2:00 PM (PST). Proposal submittal is needed prior to our bid submittal to Caltrans on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 to allow for final bid preparation. Please indicate which pay items you intend to quote on the project as soon as possible.

Contractor License: A valid California Contractor License is required to bid this project. Please list your contractor license number on your proposal along with your Public Works Contractor Registration Number.

Bond: Please include a separate cost on your proposal for the total value or rate for providing a Payment and Performance Bond.

Taxes: Project is NOT tax exempt. Please include all required taxes in your proposal.

Schedule: Please include durations for your work scopes on your proposal. The Notice to Proceed is anticipated for August or September 2024 with completion by the end of 2025. The NTP will be dependent upon obtaining project permits.
