The work consists of the following major items:
1. Construction of a 2.16 million gallon per day (MGD) Water Treatment Plant (WTP) housing three GreensandPlus
and four Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) filter vessels at the Bigelow Road site. The building is to be
approximately 8,825 square feet constructed of masonry walls, steel framed, metal roof, and is inclusive of
process, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA.
2. Construction of a 1.73 MGD WTP housing GAC filter vessels at the Memorial Beach site. The building is to be
approximately 3,200 square feet constructed of masonry walls, steel framed, metal roof, and is inclusive of
process, HVAC plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA.
3. New replacement wells at both Bigelow Road and Memorial Beach.
4. Lining of approximately 1,350 linear feet of existing water main and replacement of approximately 450 linear feet
of existing 12-inch water main with a new 12-inch ductile iron water main on Bigelow Road, as well as associated
service reconnections, valves, hydrants, and appurtenances.
