Walsh/Skanska/Traylor JV is soliciting cost proposals for the Gateway Development Commission Palisades Tunnel Project.

One of Three Gateway Tunnels between NY and NJ - New Jersey Tunnels. This project involves a twin tunnel 28 ft Dia in hard rock approx. 5000 ft each, between North Bergen and Hoboken. There will be a 125 ft dia shaft 95 ft deep and a portal open cut for the TBM launch. It also has 6 cross passages. The Palisades Tunnel, which consists of two separate tunnels, each approximately 5,100-feet long and with an inside diameter of 25 feet 2 inches, is to be excavated by Tunnel Boring Machines (“TBMs”).
