REQUEST FOR BIDS TO PERFORM WBE or MBE SUBCONTRACTOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES AND/OR WBE or MBE MATERIAL SUPPLIER SERVICES


2H Construction is requesting bids for the following project:
City of Santa Ana Project No. 22-1380 Main Library Renovation

The project includes site work for surface parking, site utility improvements, entrance walkways, pedestrian lighting, renovation of exterior space, site furnishings, irrigation, and landscaping. The Main Library building consists of 39,790 square feet and has two floors and a below grade basement. Additional improvements will include but are not limited to hazardous material removal, demolition, repair of exterior marble façade, addition of accessible elevator, repair and replacement of north facing windows, renovation of interior spaces, mechanical improvements, plumbing improvements, electrical improvements, low-voltage, communications, and electrical security. In order for the Library to accommodate community needs, new book drop locations, bookmobile area, and shared public spaces will be developed.

Trade and supplier opportunities included, but are not limited to: Demolition, Abatement, Earthwork, Shoring, Site Concrete, Pavers, Landscaping, Site Utilities, Concrete, CMU, Steel, Railings, Casework, Roofing, Sheet Metal, Doors, Glazing, Glass Railings, Smoke Containment System, Historic Restoration, Drywall, Plaster, Tile, Acoustical, Flooring, Painting, Restroom Accessories, Visual Display Surfaces, Wall Protection, Fireplaces, Metal Lockers, Mobile Storage Shelving Units, Book Depositories, Library Stack System, Window Treatments, Elevators, Fire Sprinklers, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, and Low Voltage (A/V, Communications, Security, and Fire Alarm)

The closing date and time for prime bid proposals to the owner is 2:00 PM on June 18th, 2024.

2H Construction will assist interested WBE or MBE firms and other firms in obtaining bonding, lines of credit or insurance, and any technical assistance or information related to plans, specifications, and requirements for the project.

Subcontractors must comply with general prevailing rates (PCC.1720 et seq.) and shall be registered with the DIR.CA.gov prior to submitting a bid (Labor Code 1725.5)

Each BIDDER shall be a licensed contractor in the classification as required for the work to be performed at the time of bid submission and must maintain the licenses throughout the duration of the project.

If requested 2H Construction will reimburse subcontractors up to 2% for payment and performance bonds. No bid bond is required for subcontractors. However, please provide your payment and performance bond rate with your proposal.
