RTA Construction, Inc. is soliciting proposals and quotes from all Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises (MBE/WBEs) for the City of Redding Liberty Street Sidewalk Improvement Project. In accordance with the Municipal Code of the City of Redding, sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 777 Cypress Avenue, Redding, CA 96001, until 3 p.m., October 31, 2024, at which time they will be publicly opened and read for the performing of the work as follows: Repair damaged portions of sidewalk, curb, gutter and asphalt concrete on Liberty Street, Eureka Way, East Street and Trinity Street per the plans. Replace damaged and aged water meter boxes, valve boxes, and signs. Remove existing trees, plant new trees and install irrigation as shown on the plans, detailed in the specifications and as directed by the Engineer. The Engineer’s Estimate is $486,000. There are 30 working days.
RTA Construction, Inc. is requesting quotes from MBE/WBEs for all items of work involved with this project including, but not limited to, the following bid items: 1) Traffic Control, 2) Construction Area Signs, Water Pollution Control, 4) Project Funding Sign, 5) Remove Tree, 6) Irrigation System, 7) Root Barrier, 8) Tree (15-gallon), 9) Replace Area Drain, 10) Replace Catch Basin Top, 11) Replace Water Meter Box, 12) Replace Water Valve Box, 13) Replace Sign, 14) Curb and Gutter (6’’), 15) Sidewalk (4’’ PCC), 16) Driveway (Commercial), 17) Replace Asphalt Concrete, 18) Concrete Curb Ramp We will work with interested MBE/WBEs to create custom scopes of work/supply to meet their particular needs. We will encourage a consortium of MBE/WBEs when any particular item(s) of interest are too large for one MBE/WBE firm to handle individually. We will work with interested MBE/WBEs to divide total requirements into economically feasible, smaller tasks or quantities to permit maximum MBE/WBE participation.
