The Office of Supplier Diversity (OSD) at Florida Department of Management Services oversees the state's drive to increase the participation of minority- and women-owned businesses (MWBEs) as well as veteran-owned (VBEs) businesses in public contracting. The OSD certifies firms as MBEs, WBEs, VBEs, which makes them eligible to be listed on the state's directory and referral to state agencies seeking to improve their supplier diversity, among other benefits. The OSD certification is valid for two years.
