The City of Rochester is hosting its first Upstate New York MWBE Conference, a three-day event (March 22, 23, and 24 of 2023). Minority- and woman-owned businesses from the Finger Lakes, Western, Central, and Southern Tier regions of New York are encouraged to attend. The first day will include a reception and awards dinner in the evening, and the second and third days will be all-day events, with various training sessions, workshops, opportunities to network and learn about upcoming contract opportunities, and more. Meals are included. There will be programming geared to MWBEs who are not certified as such, providing assistance on understanding the certification process, as well as many opportunities for certified MWBEs to get a leg up in the government contracting process.
