Colorado DOT announces three-year DBE participation goal

CO News - Published Jun 15, 2022

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has announced a draft goal for DBE participation on federally-assisted projects, covering the period of fiscal years 2023 through 2025. The figure has been set at 2.44 percent.

The figure was arrived at by the usual means of identifying a base figure for relative availability in the area, and then adjusting the figure based on all other forms of relevant and available data. The methodology may be read at https://www.codot.gov/business/civilrights/smallbusiness/dbe/pgm-admin/fta-final-goal-methodology-ffy-2020-2022.pdf.

Currently, the goal and its methodology are up for public comment. Comments will be received by CDOT through July 21st of 2022. Comments may be emailed to CDOT's Civil Rights DBE Program Manager, Jun Arcilla, at Jun.Arcilla@state.co.us. They may also be sent to CDOT's Civil Rights & Business Resource Center, at 2829 W. Howard Pl., 1st Floor, Denver, CO 80204, or at dot_civilrights@state.co.us or (303) 757-9234. CDOT also maintains a list of Small Business Collaborative Forums (at https://www.codot.gov/business/civilrights/smallbusiness/forums) at which feedback may be provided.
