Hawaii DOT announces DBE goal for 2023-2025

HI News - Published Jul 07, 2022

The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) has announced its triennial participation goal for DBEs for the period of fiscal years 2023 through 2025, as it required to do as a recipient of federal transportation funding. The participation goal has been set at 17.26 percent.

Of that figure, 6.04 percent is projected to be achieved by race-neutral means, with the remaining 11.22 percent to come through race-conscious measures such as individual contract goals.

HDOT is currently accepting public comments on the goal and the methodology used to reach the goal. Comments will be received through July 29th, 2022, pending submission of the goal to the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) on August 1st, 2022. If approved, the goal will go into effect on October 1st, 2022.
