USDOT solicits comments on NPRM due by Oct 31, 2022

The deadline for stakeholder public comment on the ACDBE and DBE Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) on July 21, 2022 is coming up. The deadline has been extended to October 31, 2022. The NPRM and various links pertaining to the NPRM (including a summary table) may be found at https://www.transportation.gov/dbe-rulemaking.

To ensure that your comments are meaningful and effective, USDOT recommends that stakeholders: share personal experiences to explain the impact that the proposed rules would have on their business or organization; share research or data that they feel should be considered during the rulemaking; and review and submit comments on the paperwork burden estimates (NPRM p. 43662- 43663) and the Regulatory Impact Analysis (at https://www.regulations.gov/document/DOT-OST-2022-0051-0008).
