ODOT surpasses its DBE contracting goal for 2022

OR News - Published Dec 27, 2022

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has announced that it has surpassed its own goal for contracting with disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs) during the previous fiscal year of 2022. That DBE participation goal was set at 15.37 percent of contract dollars for projects receiving federal funding, and, in the event, 22.44 percent ended up going to DBEs.

The figure of 22.44 percent represents a total of $199 million in contracting dollars awarded to DBEs. ODOT plans on continuing to reduce barriers to contracting success for DBEs by means of various mentoring and business development programs, training, financial and bonding assistance, and more.

ODOT's DBE participation goal for fiscal year 2023 has been set at 23.43 percent.
