Votran invites public to participate in DBE goalsetting

FL News - Published Jul 13, 2023

The County of Volusia Transit Services Division, or Votran, is inviting the interested members of the public to help Votran set its next Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal. Votran is required to set such goals as a recipient of federal transportation funding.

Votran is currently in the middle of a 30-day public comment period which will end on July 31st of 2023, during which time they will accept feedback on the proposed goal and the methodology used to reach it. The current proposed DBE participation goal for the period of fiscal years 2024 through 2026 is 5.2 percent.

Votran is holding a free webinar on July 19th 2023, from 3 to 4 PM, where information will be provided and questions can be asked about the goal. The meeting link is https://benesch.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZItdu6vrzIuH93R4zT471BUjlXkfA_CUlod.

Comments on the current DBE goal and the methodology used to set it can be directed to the attention of Ralf Heseler, Transit Planning Manager & DBE Liason Officer with Votran, at (386) 756-7496 ext. 4099 by phone, or by email at rheseler@volusia.org.
