Mercer County launches MWBE, SBE, VetBiz business directory

NJ News - Published Jul 20, 2023

Mercer County has published a new certification directory on its website for small and diverse businesses in the area. The online directory was created as a means to support such businesses in their growth and success generally.

Businesses that wish to be listed in the directory must currently be certified by the State of New Jersey as a Women Business Enterprises (WBE), Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Veteran Owned/Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (VOB/DVOB), or Small Business Enterprises (SBE), and be listed as such in the New Jersey Selective Assistance Vendor Information (NJSAVI) portal. If they are so listed, they can then submit a request (at https://www.mercercounty.org/work/mercer-county-small-business-outreach-program/small-business-designation-form) to be included in the Mercer County list.

Mercer County businesses will, by being listed in the directory, provide Mercer County purchasing agencies with a convenient means for locating and getting in touch with them.

"The online directory is an effort to support the business enterprises of women, minorities and veterans, along with small businesses," said Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes in a statement.
