Santa Cruz METRO setting DBE goal

The Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District (Santa Cruz METRO) is currently in the process of setting a three-year DBE participation goal for fiscal years 2024 through 2026. The District is required to set such a goal as a recipient of federal transportation funding.

The current goal that Santa Cruz METRO is proposing is 0 percent for that period. METRO is currently accepting written comments on that proposed DBE goal, and the rationale used in setting that goal, through August 25, 2023.  Comments should be submitted to Chuck Farmer, DBE Liaison Officer, 110 Vernon Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95060, or by email to DBE@scmtd.com. Comments may also be submitted to: Federal Transit Administration, Region 9 Office, San Francisco Federal Bldg., 90 7th Street, Suite 15-300, San Francisco, CA 94103.

Santa Cruz METRO will hold a Public Hearing on the DBE goal at 9:00 AM (or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard) on August 25, 2023. The link for the hearing will available at https://www.scmtd.com/.
