City of Austin publishes ACDBE utilization goals

The City of Austin has published proposed utilization goals for Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (ACDBEs) by Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA). The City is required to publish such goals as a recipient of federal transportation funding.

The proposed ACDBE participation goal for fiscal years 2024 through 2026 is 10.39 percent for non-car-rental concessions at ABIA, and 4.54 percent in car rental concession contracts for which the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) provides financial assistance.

The notices and documents relating to the proposed ACDBE participation goal are currently available for review on the website of the City's Department of Small and Minority Business Resources (SMBR), with the link to be found at the end of this article. Members of the public seeking information and answers to questions relating to the ACDBE goal have been instructed to contact Edward Campos, ACDBE Liasion Officer, at (512) 974-7600. Comments on the goal may be emailed to dbepubliccomments@austintexas.gov, or physically mailed to the following address: Federal Aviation Administration Office of Civil Rights - FAA Southwest Region, Office 10101, Hillwood Parkway Fort Worth, TX 76177. 

ABIA will receive and consider comments on the proposed goal until March 23, 2024. All comments must be submitted by 5 PM on that day to be received.
