DDOT sets DBE participation goal for 2025-2027

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT, serving Washington, D.C.) has announced its triennial participation goals for disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs) in DDOT contracts for the period of 2025 through 2027. DDOT is required to set such DBE participation goals as a condition of receving federal transportation funding.

The proposed DBE participation goal for the period is 20.51 percent, comprised of 1.03 percent participation to be achieved through race-neutral methods, and 19.48 percent participation to be achieved through race-conscious methods. The goal was set by taking various factors into consideration, including past DDOT utilization data, DBE availability in the area, United States Census information, and more.

DDOT is currently accepting comments on the goal and its methodology during the period of Friday, October 11, 2024, through Monday, November 11, 2024. Comments may be sent to DDOT at dbe.ddot@dc.gov.
