Jacksonville Transit, of Jacksonville, North Carolina has announced its disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) participation goals for fiscal years 2025 through 2027. Jacksonville Transit is required to set such participation goals, setting a target for the percent of contract dollars going to DBEs, as a recipient of federal transportation goals.
The participation goal for the period has been set at 1.7 percent for the period. Jacksonville Transit has made the goal document and the methodology used to reach the goal public online (see link at end of article) for a period of thirty days following the initial publication date of their notice (which was posted on December 11, 2024).
Jacksonville Transit will be accepting comments from the public regarding the DBE goal and the DBE program generally through January 13, 2025.
