North Carolina offers fast-track SBE certification opportunity

The North Carolina Department of Administration (NC DOA) is currently offering a one-time fast-track window for eligible HUB-certified businesses to become certified with the North Carolina Small Business Enterprise (NCSBE) program.

The window is open from October 15 to November 30 of 2026. The HUB (or historically underutilized business) program that was previously offered by NC DOA was eliminated earlier in 2026. Per NC DOA, as many HUBS are small businesses that have already been vetted, a "simple digital attestation" will be accepted for NCSBE certification, provided that your HUB business has an annual net income not greater than $1.5 million, 100 or fewer employees, and is headquartered in North Carolina.
