RTA Construction, Inc. is soliciting proposals and quotes from all Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises (MBE/WBEs) for the City of Redding ARPA Storm Drain Project in Redding, CA. sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 777 Cypress Avenue, Redding, CA 96001, until 3 p.m., August 12, 2024, at which time they will be publicly opened and read for the performing of the work as follows: This project will replace deteriorated or undersized Storm Drain Facilities at various locations including Churn Creek Road and Harpole Road, Victor Avenue, Placer Street, Wilson Avenue/Belladonna Street easement and Masonic Avenue. Fairway Avenue and Robert Court will be Additive Alternates as shown on the plans. The work has been divided into a Base Bid and two Additive Alternates to accommodate the overall budget of the project. The division of work and each Additive Alternate is clarified on the plans. Working days will be adjusted to accommodate these Additive Alternates. The Engineer’s Estimate for the Base Bid is $623,700.00. There are 58 working days. An additional 10 days will be added for Additive Alternate 1, and an additional 6 working days will be added for Additive Alternate 2.

RTA Construction, Inc. is requesting quotes from MBE/WBEs for all disciplines of work involved with this project including, but not limited to, the following items: Water Pollution Control, Traffic Control, Construction Area Signs, Curb and Gutter, Trench Sheeting and Shoring, Storm drain Pipe 12’’ CPP, Storm Drain Pipe 18’’ HDPE, Storm Drain Pipe 24’’ HDPE, Storm Drain Pipe RCP, Storm Drain Pipe 30’’ RCP. Storm Drain Pipe 3’ x 10’ RBC, Wilson Avenue Easement Miscellaneous Improvements, Catch Basin No. 3, Catch Basin No. 4, Catch Basin No. 3 Modified, Storm Drain Manhole 1-5’, Remove Trees, Water Main 8’’ DIP, Hauling. We will work with interested MBE/WBEs to create custom scopes of work/supply to meet their particular needs. We will encourage a consortium of MBE/WBEs when any particular item(s) of interest are too large for one MBE/WBE firm to handle individually. We will work with interested MBE/WBEs to divide total requirements into economically feasible, smaller tasks or quantities to permit maximum MBE/WBE participation.
