Project Details

San Fernando Transit Constructors (SFTC) is soliciting in good faith all subcontractors as well as Small Business Enterprise (SBE) companies for participation on this project.

This ESFV LRT - FFP 02.1 MSF - 100% DU40 Package pertains to the Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSF) and other improvements that will be performed under:


BP-08F2 Doors, Specialty Roll Up
BP-14A1 Elevators
BP-23Z1 Gas Vapor Barrier Venting
BP-26A2.1 Electrical, Building Electrical, Rebar

The SFTC SBE goal for this project is: 15% overall, with LACMTA SBE goal of 11% and other SBEs 4%.

The East San Fernando Valley Light Rail Transit (ESFV-LRT) consists of a 6.7-mile-long at-grade Light Rail Transit (LRT) corridor located within the City of Los Angeles. The overall project corridor will connect with the existing Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) G Line Station (formerly the Orange Line Station) on the south and with the future Van Nuys/San Fernando Metrolink Station on the north. The proposed alignment will traverse the following communities that are located within the City of Los Angeles: Van Nuys, Panorama City, Arleta, and Pacoima. The Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSF) is an essential component for this project.

To take part in the East San Fernando Valley LRT - FFP 02.1 MSF - 100% DU40 project, Metro is requiring ALL bidders to be prequalified. The prequalification application or validation form is to be sent directly to Metro at pre-qual@metro.net. DO NOT send your application to us. Once Metro receives your application, they will send an email with a confirmation of receipt. We are requesting you forward this email to us so we can confirm you submitted your pre-qual application/validation form. If you have been previously qualified within the last 2 years, you only need to fill out the one-page validation form along with your most recent financial statements and any other updated information, as appropriate. If your firm's pre-qualification expires within 30 days of the proposed award date, you will have to submit the entire application. All SBE and/or DBE firms must be certified by the bid/proposal due date. If your firm qualifies you can apply for DBE and SBE certification through Metro online at: https://metro.gob2g.com/

SFTC intends to conduct itself in good faith with all interested subcontractors as well as certified SBE and certified DBE firms looking for subcontract opportunities on this project. Subcontractor may be requested to furnish a bond, if required SFTC will pay bond premium up to 1%. Please call if we can assist you in obtaining bonding, lines of credit, insurance, necessary equipment, materials and/or supplies. Assistance to DBE subcontractors and DBE suppliers in obtaining bonding, lines of credit, or other capital financing is available through the DOT Bond Assistance Program at (800) 532-1169.
